Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and friendly Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. We are seeking a dedicated, reliable individual that believes patient care is as important as we do. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. 

Responsibilities

This position will assist with all front office functions including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and answering phones:

  • Greets all individuals arriving at the office in a timely, professional, and courteous manner to ensure that their needs are met.
  • Completes and verifies patients' insurance information with accuracy and efficiency, to ensure timely billing to a third-party vendor.
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles, at the time of check-in, as directed by the billing policies.
  • Utilizes the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to complete the registration process and facilitate the patients' visit with their provider or diagnostic technician.
  • Completes the check-out process by assisting the patients with scheduling future appointments & providing referral information as directed by the providers.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a customer service facing role within an organization that values excellent customer experience and service.
  • 1-year previous medical office experience (preferred).
