Overview

The Perinatal Group, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a highly organized, professional, and friendly Front Office Coordinator to join our growing women's health practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a critical role in creating a positive patient experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, always ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere
  • Answer and route phone calls efficiently and respond to patient inquiries with empathy and accuracy
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, manage provider schedules, and coordinate follow-up visits
  • Verify insurance, collect copays and balance, and accurately enter patient information into the EMR
  • Monitor and maintain front desk supplies, patient paperwork, and waiting room cleanliness
  • Ensure all check-in and check-out processes are completed correctly and timely
  • Collaborate with medical assistants, billing, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies
  • Assist in training new front desk team members and serve as a point of contact for front desk support
  • Will cover team members during vacations or call ins.
  • Help resolve patient concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate person when needed
  • Other job duties may be assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of front office experience in a medical setting, OB/GYN preferred
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (Athena a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
  • Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and professionalism
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow improvement
